Our Fishery is on the shore of Pyefleet Creek on Mersea Island off the coast of Essex, where oysters have been farmed since Roman times. Our oysters lay on the river bed roaming with the mineral rich, brackish tides.
We have been supplying oysters and shellfish to the top restaurants, hotels and to your door for over 54 years. We pride ourselves on only supplying the finest quality seafood both from our own river and further afield.
We are opening the Fishery doors and inviting you to come to East Mersea. We will be giving tours of the Fishery and bringing our oyster boat up to the quay to show you what it's like to be an oyster farmer.
Food and drink will be available in the Long Room and Terrace where you can enjoy spectacular views over the Pyefleet.
Although we are an Oyster Farm, we sell much more than just oysters. Our other specialties are lobsters and seafood platters. We pride ourselves on only supplying the finest quality seafood both from our own river and further afield.
We are an oyster farm, first and foremost, that is who we are, what we do and what we love.
